Not quite the Indian summer day we've often been lucky enough to enjoy this year but Finals Day 2016 certainly had some brilliant matches, with four out of the five senior finals going to three sets.
The girls' finalists threw off their nerves to have a nice game and
the ladies doubles final was very closely fought. The boy's Under 15
final must have taken an hour per set and the mixed doubles handicap
winners were only crowned by means of a third set tie-break. For 3 and
a half hours (yes, really) of pure quality the match of day was
undoubtedly the first (of many?!) Buckle vs Soanes men's singles
though. Well done to all who entered draws this year.
