The Abingdon Open is a special annual event aimed mainly at developing junior tennis.
The courts are there for members to use whenever they are
free (floodlights are available until 10pm). There is plenty of
court time available in the daytime during the week, but in the
evenings and at weekends, a balance has to be struck between
competing demands and available resources. The table below shows
the allocation plan for Winter 2017-18 for times when organised
tennis (for example, matches or coaching) take precedence over
casual usage. If the courts are scheduled but are not being used
for organised tennis, then members are free to use them.
