The (nearly!) zero tolerance approach to finals having to be played on Finals Day made for a packed day of play. It was great to be able to run the girls singles for the first time in 4 years with a high quality and close final match being played. Good too that the ladies singles had entrants again and let's hope this is maintained. Worth noting that new member Tamala was the only finalist not seeded 1 or 2! The boys under 21 final was eagerly anticipated this year and well done to Tom Buckle for pushing David Soanes close in their first set of the men's singles semi-final. Hard luck to Ole who sustained an injury in his mixed doubles final that ultimately forced him to withdraw from the singles final - dangerous game mixed! He will have to wait until next year for the chance to avenge his loss to David in the Wimbledon challenge match they played this summer.
