Family Doubles is a separate fun tournament for a parent plus their (under 14) son or daughter. This year the competition was played as a single round-robin. The youngest competitor was Ross Oliver, and he gamely kept rallied going with the older opponents. He even forgave his father for getting passed down the line twice by 10 year old Saffy! Tom and David Buckle proved to be the strongest pair, and they completed the round robin without dropping a set. The two Gujral teams played each other the final round to determine second place. Mum and Taysie eventually prevailed over dad and Saffy in the tie-break to take the family doubles runner-up slot!
